Catching up on a few days of posts, so sharing a couple drafts instead of just one—each one takes the act of writing poetry itself as the subject, the first by listing insights or “rules” about poems and the second by limiting every word to being only one syllable.
If there’s a prompt in here, it’s to try writing a meta-poem in a similar way. Can you write a poem where every word is only one syllable? Or turn a list of rules and descriptions into a poem? Or bend some other guideline to result in a poem that works with very simple language?
